Just thinking about that is mind blowing. I don’t think its quite hit me yet either though. I don’t know what to think when it comes to college. my mind diverges into so many different directions, being far from home, far from my friends, getting adjusted to the academic portion of school, whether or not ill make friends, the fear of making the wrong friends, unbounded freedom, its all overwhelming to think about. Words cannot even express how scared I am, for the first time in such a long time i’m actually going at this alone. No more depending on “mommy and daddy” or having the friends i’ve had since forever to lean on; just me being independent and growing up. I don’t know if im ready or not, but i guess we’ll find out in a month. just got to take things a day at a time.</span></blockquote> </div> <div class="post_title"></div> <div class="post_title">As I scroll past previous tumblr posts, I came across this one. I laugh at myself because of the fact that I really had nothing to be nervous about. I mean for the most part I guess I could say I came out unscathed. I mean i could definitely say that friends may have changed here and there, and I know that maybe in another year from now my friends might yet again change but I&#8217;m happy with the people I have in my life. It may be a small group of friends but it&#8217;s definitely an intimate group where I don&#8217;t feel like I have to put up a front. Academically I know it&#8217;s only going to get harder, and I know that there are still plenty of speed bumps along the way but I just hope that i&#8217;ll continually learn and really figure out what it is I want to do with the rest of my life. For getting my first taste of &#8220;freedom&#8221; in college I&#8217;m pretty proud of myself for sticking to the things that I promised I would stick to and staying away from things that I promised myself I would stay away from. As much as people who shall remain unnamed teased me about becoming the &#8220;girl who went wild in college because she was super sheltered&#8221; i&#8217;m happy to say that none of that nonsense occurred. I&#8217;m still the same weird, dorky girl whose just trying to figure out herself.
